Kodachrome Canada Goose of Crawford County Pennsylvania (1950s)

If you’ve followed The Psychogenealogist for any period of time you know there is a special place in my heart for Kodachrome photo slides.

This delightfully quirky capture does not disappoint. It was a recent ebay acquisition.

A somewhat disheveled looking man sits with a with a Canada Goose propped on his lap. A newspaper protects his already sullied trousers. There are what appear to be two shotguns laying on the sofa to his left. A vintage freezer sits behind?

Here is the front and back of the slide.

We can tell by the red bordered Kodachrome photo slide that this image is probably from sometime between 1955 and 1959. Written on the back is “At Martins. Crawford CO, PA”.
